Gene Dunford Dtm Very bad, sucks, poor, bad, fair, fine, good, very good, great, wonderful, fantastic outstanding, superior. I would not use suck. The last four rank pretty close together.

Robert Alan Black thanks Gene. Adjectives and Superlatives are often difficult to rank in order.

Our personal biases, backgrounds tend change them.

Then trying to apply a logical numerical rating system on top of those becomes extremely subjective.

I still have materials from the 80s I discovered and used in many workshops to training programs to my masters degree course on

Leading Today's Employees.

This was during the ERA of the QUALITY MOVEMENT.

GOOD IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH
was the title of one article that included
many other adjectives or adverbs
that might be used to be more accurate

In my club when I serve as Master Evaluator or even an Evaluator and Grammarian I often draw attention to the habit of over rating or excessively using

G O O D

providing no real definition or description
of what is being evaluated.

One challenge you might use

DO NOT USE THE WORD GOOD at all.

i have found some club members actually can not do it.

My suggestion?

Next time you feel the word GOOD in your mind
or on the tip of your tongue search for a synonym or a phrase or sentence that more accurately describes
what you are about to say.
