Through taking speed reading classes when preparing for the 7 NCARB National Council of Architectural Registration Board tests to become a licensed architect in 1972 (finally) I became an obsessed reader
3 to 5 to 7 books a week.
then in 1976 I met Bob Eberle during a Gifted Education conference held in Orlando.
I began as a volunteer gifted education teacher a few months before at my sons' elementary school.
I read, read, read books and articles about education, teaching, learning.
Bob Eberle, creator of the most used other than Brainstorming, creative idea generating tool, S.C.A.M.P.E.R. and I had dinner one night in Orlando.
He listened
He really listened to me tell the story of my goals and dream, very fanciful at the time.
"You need to go to CPSI!"
It was two years later when I finally went the first time to CPSI

main points
a. everyone is born with capacities to think creatively
b. creative thinking can be learned, taught, trained, revived throughout out entire lives
c. most to all organizations, cultures KILL or SURPRESS creative thinking to achieve CONFORMITY
d. by the 4th grade in school around the world most of the natural creativity of children is quieted down to KILLED.
I have devoted my life to these and many more ever since 1976.
Sadly so much lip service is given to these and too little true actions
