just started reading your piece from December 14th about the election of Donald Trump (written as if the author was a US citizen)

If TRUMP represents "our" shadow,
what does ZUMA represent about the citizens of South Africa?

Who I have never heard of before.

Now I will continue reading the entire article.

Why TRUMP has happened?

Why he was elected by the Electoral College instead of Hilliary Clinton is being explained by many different people with many different opinions and points of perspective?

340,000,000+ people
every religion
every race
every culture or country
a full range of ages
full range of educational backgrounds from none to multiple PhDs
every financial background 

Hmmm?

Why did TRUMP push past all the other candidates in 2016
when he couldn't in 2008 or 2012?

Why has this most disputable human being to ever run
for the office of President managed to manipulate the
US political and election system and win?

Unless the members of the Electoral College vote differently today
historians and pundits will continue to try to explain this 
phenomenon for a century or two.

The results?

What will happen if they don't vote against him
and choose someone else, possibly, highly doubtful
that they will choose Hillary instead?

Each day for the next 4 years will play out
what his presidency will do to the country
and its citizens from the poorest to the extreme
wealthiest.
